Feste Felici to All,
Olaf here – just checking in…Life at home has been busy!  The days have been full of prepping homemade presents and reminiscing about age-old family times.  Oh life in the glory days before all this web 2.0 rat race.

I write to you from the fireside.  My toes are warm and I’m soothing my soul with the 21-year-old Dalmore that you all gifted to me.  Thank you.  It has been a perfect gift to numb the wee pains I got.

However, given the season and all of our busy lives, I am at a loss for a December challenge.  This is the time to spend with our loved ones – and so by this crackling oak I shall remain.  May your holidays be filled with joy and laughter!  In January our adventures will continue, Brian’s dating life shall flourish and the High Sky memories will continue growing.

From Brownies to Shovels-Olaf Arrives to Red Sky

Olaf has safely made it to the Red Sky office from Norway with the new challenge in basket.  We dig helping out the WCA and will see you there, ready to landscape like ants on breadcrumbs!

Boys Versus Girls – Challenge #1

For this week’s challenge, the girls received the silver metal. But not to worry. We were only a few strokes behind the boys.

Overcoming Sweets Addiction

I am becoming transformed as a recovering sweet addict. Last night, just before the start of a new week, I forced myself to make a milkshake at 9 p.m., because I had had only had 2 of my 3 sweets for the week (plus, I felt it was my duty to toast to Phelps’ 8th medal).

What’d ya know? I am actually eating fruits and other healthy stuff in place of sweets. The Challenge is working!

The gnome has arrived, and our first group challenge will be held August 28 at Ann Morrison Park. We may not all be the best frisbee throwers here at the Dive, but we’re going to be practicing night and day in preparation for the event.
